Actor: Kristen Dunst, Isla Fisher, Rebel Wilson

Plot: Regan, Gena and Katie are asked to be bridesmaids at Becky’s wedding, a girl who they all despised in high school. However, the night before the wedding, everything goes wrong, when making a joke about Becky’s dress they end up ripping it. They spend the night desperately figuring out how to fix the dress but will they be able to fix it before the wedding or before Becky finds out?

Comment: Overall, this movie was quite disappointing. It lacked innovation and a solid story line. The actors were mismatched and didn’t gel together. The comedy aspect of the movie was weak and unfortunately it was one of those movie which the trailer is funnier than the actual movie itself.

Title: Crazy Stupid Love

Director: Glen Ficarra

Run Time: 118 minutes

Genre: Romantic Comedy with a twist

Plot Line:

Cal Weaver is a middle- aged man who has lost inspiration in himself and also his relationship. After his wife cheats on him and asks for a divorce, Cal spirals into a world of self- doubt and pity until he meets Jacob Palmer a smooth talking ladies man who helps him reinvent himself. Both men partake on a journey into their manhood and both realise that they are closer than they think.

Comments/ Overall opinion of the movie:

Overall, I really enjoyed the movie, it was engaging, humorous and kept me wondering what was going to happen next. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling were the perfect actors for the role as they embodied the unusual  quirky relationships between their characters. Steve Carrell  was the perfect character that was taken under Goslings wing. However, the one aspect of the movie I didn’t like was the babysitter story, which in my opinion was a bit over the top.

Overall I would give this movie an overall star rating of

4/5

Plot: Four college girls have known each other since school but now they search for adventure. They land in jail during spring break but get bailed out from a drug/arms dealer called Alien. He promises that he will provide adventure and excitement for them. How far will they make it.

Comment:  Harmony Korine is known for his unique style of directing. This is a massive step for the main actresses, seeing them in this from their stereotypical roles but they did actually suit the parts. I lost interest in the movie and wanted to fast forward some parts. This isn't for the average movie goer so I wouldn't recommend for a cinema day or a movie night. If your interested go ahead but it's not my type of film. I'm sure there are loads of 'deep' factors that film will focuses on but I just didn't like it that much.

Prince Charming returns from a failed attempt at rescuing Fiona and works alongside his mother to get rid of Shrek and get Fiona for himself.  With his faithful steed donkey, Shrek takes on the fairy godmother.

Comment: This film is as good as the first Shrek. This film is really funny and the characters are excellent. There is a new character, Puss which is played by Antonio Banderas. This just adds another great character. I would recommend this film to anyone of any age.

With his camera and map in hand he videos his trip and his video diary ends up screening at The Cannes Film festival. Mr. Bean creates havoc wherever he goes.

Comments: This is a great film for the family but it's great if you want a laugh. If you ever watched Mr.Bean on t.v, you know he doesn't speak. In this film, Atkinson just makes everything funny in what he does.

Plot: Bollywood style of Jane Austen's famous novel. Mrs.Bakshi is looking to find suitable husbands for her 4 unmarried daughters. When a rich American comes to visit India with a friend, the Bakshi's have high hops. But certain things threaten to get in the way of romance.

Comments: Chadha has made Jane Austen's novel into a colourful Indian musical. The musical numbers are very catchy and the choreography is very good. I have not watched many Bollywood movies but this is a great movie.

Run Time: 124 minutes

Rating: 15A

Actors: Jason Segel, Emily Blunt & Chris Pratt

Plot:After just of knowing each other, Tom(Jason Segel) proposes to his girlfriend Violet (Emily Blunt). However their wedding is not as soon as he hoped, when Violet gets a new job in a new city, Tom follows her, which postpones the wedding for a year, however a series of events leads to the engagement being prolonged even further.

Comments:I hate to admit it, but this movie was a car crash from the start. The plot line was all over the place. There was no definite story as the couple fell in and out of love more times that I would like to count. Segel, despite his efforts didn’t connect with Blunt. It was a good attempt however it fell flat, and will most likely be forgetten in a matter of Hollywood minutes.

Rating: 12A

Run Time: 126 minutes

Director: Richard LaGravanese

Actors: Hilary Swank, Gerard Butler, Lisa Kudrow & many more

Plot: Based on the bestselling novel by Cecelia Ahern, this movie is about true love & loss. Holly & Gerry are madly in love, however when Gerry’s health takes a turn for the worst Holly is left devastated with her loss, until she discovers that Gerry left her a series of letters which help her to deal with the loss and rediscover herself. They are each signed off the same way- PS I love You.

Comments:A new twist to the stereotypical romance plot line. In my opinion I felt that this movie was a fresh and inspiring look into the mysteries of romance, it also developed my love for Gerard Butler but that is beside the point! The idea of the letters which helped Holly deal with the loss was pure genius.  As well as being a fresh perspective it also highlighted the beauty of Irish scenery. Overall a classic romantic novel!

Genre:

Rating: 12A

Run Time: 109 minutes

Director: Will Gluck

Actors: Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis

Plot:
Jamie (Mila Kunis) is a New York head-hunter trying to sign Dylan (Justin Timberlake) for her client. They soon become friends and she makes her move and their friendship becomes friends with benefits. The problem is that Jamie has an emotionally damaged past and Dylan is known to be emotionally unavailable. They now have to try not to fall for each other.

Comments:
Timberlake and Kunis are both likable and funny characters. Even though this film has basically the same plot as 'No Strings Attached' it brings a different sense of romance and friendship to it. Sure the ending is predictable but it's a great movie for a girls night in.
